July 1, 2009 Update!!!!

Track Renovations are still going on. We have milled the track, we are currently working on the infield and making sure there are not bad spots in the racing surface.   There is no plans to hold any races in 2009, however we are hoping to get some practices in! I-44 Speedway to Hold Rules Meetings

Lebanon, MO: I-44 Speedway is excited to announce that they have decided to hold a rules meeting for all classes to discuss the rules for the 2010 season. There will be two separate meetings in order to divide up the classes, with both meetings being held at the Sleeper Community Center at the Sleeper United Methodist Church.

                The meeting for the Modifieds and Late Models will be Thursday June 11, 2009 at 7:00 p.m.. The Street Stock, Pure Stock and Pro-4 meeting will be the following Tuesday, June 16, 2009 also at 7:00 p.m.

                Bruce Handley will be the running Technical Inspections at the race track and will be at the meetings to discuss the rules. The public is welcome to attend, and all interested drivers are encouraged to be there to not only hear the rules but to also voice their opinions.

                The Sleeper United Methodist Church is located at the Sleeper exit on Interstate I-44 at the 135 mile marker. Get off the Sleeper exit and head East on the North outer road. The church is located about a half mile down the outer road on the left hand side with the giant cross on top of the hill. I-44 Speedway Announces 2010 Rules and Classes

Lebanon, Mo:  I-44 Speedway has decided on it classes for and rules for the 2010 season. The track will be running LateModels, Modifieds, Street Stocks, Pure Stocks and starting a new 4-cylinder class.           

“We are trying to get our rules as economical as possible, while still trying to keep the quality of competition in mind,” said Brennon Willard. “We have put a lot of thought into the rules and consulted racetracks all across the country and we feel like this rule package and with these classes of cars is the way to go. With us getting our rules out for next year now, this will let everyone be prepared and get a head start on the changes that we are making.”            

There is a brief summary of rules now posted on the website under the rules section. The full version of the rules will be published in the next couple of weeks.            

The track is still undergoing major renovations. The dirt is completely off of the pavement and repairs to the pavement will be under way soon.
