A MESSAGE FROM OUR PROMOTER . . .
RUMOR CONTROL: My Chief Tech at Portland (OR) Speedway used to say that there were two things you never want to do in this life... believe a racetrack rumor, and
bet on the Seahawks. To which I can only add "AMEN"! The latest "I-44 Rumor" has to do with our recently released video on the Lebanon I-44 Speedway Facebook page,
in which I clarify the reference in our CHARGER class rules where we indicate the races may be run turning left or right, at the discretion of the track. I made it
clear that, unless we build the inner track (c. 1/5-mile) currently under consideration, we would NOT do that since racing "turning right" on the big 3/8-mile oval
would not meet our safety standards. And one other thing: I mention our two entry level classes, Chargers and Road Warriors, in the beginning of the video, which
some folks have apparently interpreted as including the Road Warriors in the "turn left and right" scenario, and that the Road Warrior cars may be racing on the
inner track. NOT TRUE in either case. The Road Warriors will be racing on the 3/8-mile oval, turning left... period. Hopefully that clears it up, and once again,
a Racetrack Rumor is quashed! 'Nuff said... :-)
